PHOTO ESSAY: Ceremony Honors Captain Timothy Roberts FDNY EMS

On a beautiful sunny Saturday morning, family and members of the FDNY EMS gathered in Flatbush, Brooklyn, at the St Gabriel’s Episcopal Church to say farewell to Captain Timothy Roberts, a 28 year veteran of the FDNY EMS.  Captain Roberts died on May 2nd following complications from a hemorrhagic stroke while vacationing with his family in South Carolina.  Through his 28 years as a member of the FDNY EMD Timothy Roberts had spent most of his career in Brooklyn.  He was dedicated to serving the public as a dispatcher for the EMD.  Friends and family describe him as being a caring, gregarious and well liked man.  Look At Flatbush was there with many of his fellow workers to pay respect to this up standing member of the Flatbush community.

The members of the EMD have started an INDIEGOGO fundraiser campaign and are asking for your assistance in supporting the Roberts family during this difficult time.  The monies collected will help his family to offset his funeral cost.  To learn more visit IndieGoGo
